Ok you’re here.
Where is here?

Well, here is the place to be, if you’re interested in groundwater wells, and groundwater availability and conservation in Medina County, Texas.

Is this Medina County?

No, the GCD is a separate government entity, though it does share the same name and boundary. The GCD also contracts with county agencies for property tax assessment and collection.

Is this the Edwards?

We are not the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA). However, in addition to anything you would need to do with the EAA for Edwards aquifer wells, Edwards aquifer wells must also be registered here.

I have a leak, or need my water turned on.

Who do I need to talk to if I am having problems with my Septic Systems?

You can contact the Medina County Environmental Health Department at (830) 741-6195 with any question regarding the installation or problems involving a septic system.

What do I need?

Unless you know all rules and engineering requirements for drilling a water well, you need a licensed driller. Improperly completed wells can be closed up at the owners expense, and the owner can be fined.

Where can I find licensed drillers?
